Australian electrical brand ZETR has transformed a 1960s garage into a hybrid space that serves as its headquarters, showroom, design workshop, and production facility in New South Wales.
The space combines design, collaboration, and production, with ZETR‘s electrical systems integrated throughout, allowing the company to showcase its approach to architecture.
ZETR was founded by Garth Elliott in 2017 and has taken a unique approach to electrical hardware, designing power, lighting, and control systems that recede into architecture.
The headquarters features red brick, concrete, and steel, creating a tactile backdrop that reflects ZETR’s Australian identity and industrial origins.

ZETR collaborated with a spatial designer to forecast the evolving needs of its team, and the space was largely self-designed, with many pieces designed internally and realized through partnerships with local makers and fabricators.
According to Elliott, “Every element has been considered through the lens of our products, personal style, and workplace culture,” and the team at ZETR is passionate about creating an environment that embodies their culture and brand.
The headquarters provides a dynamic environment for ZETR to test ideas and showcase its products, with a focus on sustainability, as seen in the procurement of a vintage Herman Miller desking system through Living Edge’s RELIVE programme.
Custom pieces, such as a charging system integrated into a bespoke stone tabletop, demonstrate ZETR’s commitment to considered design and sustainability.
