Located in Balmain, Sydney, Diandra Politano’s skin sanctuary is a haven for those seeking high-end beauty treatments. The space was designed by Stanton Architects, with a brief to create a calming and understated atmosphere, like a clinic dropped into a Parisian apartment.
The team at Stanton Architects, led by Laura Stanton, understood Diandra’s vision completely, having previously designed her first clinic. They created a unique space for her clients, with soft fabrics, curved joinery, and concealed lighting producing a refined atmosphere.
The project had limitations, as the heritage site had existing sandstone walls, timber floors, and architectural features that had to be preserved. However, Laura saw these as positives, incorporating them into the design to create an immersive space.
Treatments and Clients
Diandra is known for her bespoke facials, which are tailored to each client’s skin type and concerns. Her treatments include gentle lymphatic drainage, peels or enzyme treatments, steam, extraction, facial massage, and custom hydrating masks. She also offers a Lymphatic Body Ritual and a Rationale Facial, which combines a deep cleanse, enzyme treatment, vitamin infusion, facial massage, and LED light therapy.

After three years, Diandra relocated to a larger space in Balmain, as she had outgrown the old space creatively and practically.
